The Young Lawyers Division monthly bulletin.

Greetings!
 
   This is the first edition of the YLD Blast that the YLD Internet Communications Committee plans to send to you on a monthly basis to keep you informed of NCBA YLD events and dates.  Each month, committee chairs from the various YLD committees will be sharing information about their activities and important dates, that in turn, will be provided to you.  If you would like information to be included in the YLD Blast, please contact YLD Internet Communications Committee Co-Chairs Thomas Moore (thomas@rufisedmisten.com) or Scott Hovey (shovey@kennedycovington.com).

                 We need licensed NC attorneys and/or notaries to volunteer their time to provide free 
wills (fill in the blanks on a template based on individual responses) to first responders including police officers, firefighters, and EMTs.  Please contact Jacquelyn Terrell at jterrell@ncbar.org.

                 Under the presidency of Janet Ward Black, the North Carolina Bar Association will
embrace the "4ALL" campaign which sets a formula through which all NC lawyers will commit to make legal services available to all North Carolinians, focusing on those at or below the poverty level. The slogan is an updated twist on the Pledge of Allegiance, "one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
